My name is Kelley Davis, aka kelitad.
My day job is that of substitute teaching at the local upper schools in my adopted town. However, I like to think that I am first and foremost a student of learning.
I have always been ecclectic in what I want to learn about, but nearly every aspect of my learning has to do with history, a love I received at an early age from my father.
Most of my learning has to do with history and the research I do with my family tree, so I try to tell stories and learn the historical nature of the stories my family members have passed down through the ages.
I also like the obscure and trivial, and some of my writings come from that as well. Lately, I have been fascinated with learning about obscure figures and events in American history in general, so I have been researching them and writing about them.
I love to read and have always been a bookworm. My family jokes that I devour books, particularily books and writings of a historical nature. I own a vast collection of history books and will use them in my research whenever possible. All of the books I recommend in my hubs as recommended readings are either books I personally own or have checked out of my local library and have read cover to cover several times.
If ever anyone has a topic of interest they would like me to research, please don't hesitate to leave a me a comment about it. I welcome challenges and enjoy trying to find materials to help me in my research.
